About Scott Wood
Scott M. Wood is co-chief operating officer of the IHC Group, an insurance organization composed of Independence Holding Company (NYSE: IHC), and its subsidiaries. He has worked in the health insurance industry since 1982.
He previously served Insurers Administrative Corporation (IAC) as Vice President from 1986 to 1989 when he was promoted to Executive Vice President. In 1997, he was further promoted to Chief Operating Officer.
Scott holds a business degree from Arizona State University and is a member of the Self-Insurance Institute of America, National Association of Health Underwriters, Mass Marketing Insurance Institute, and the Professional Insurance Marketing Association.
